Margaret-Ann Arnold, known to friends as “Maggie”, of Brantford, Ontario died peacefully on May 25th at Stedman Community Hospice after a fifteen year battle with breast cancer at the age of 62.
Maggie was born in Brockville, Ontario but grew up outside of Kingston, Ontario in the small village of Glenburnie. Upon graduation, she enrolled in a CEDESCO accredited college, the Lam School of Cosmetics and Massage Therapy, and embarked on what became her lifelong passion and career in aesthetics.
In 1985, Maggie returned to Kingston and opened her own aesthetics business, Professional Skin and Hair. It was during this period of time that Maggie met the love of her life, Alan Arnold. Married in 1998, Maggie and Al lived at various times in Kingston and Toronto before finally moving to Brantford, Ontario in 2018 with, what she affectionately called her “fur babies”, Kenworth and Daisy Grace, two adorable German Shepherd dogs. She is predeceased by her brother, Robert John McCarthy of Wilton, Ontario. She is fondly remembered by her niece and nephews Sarah, Christopher, David and Kevin and her sisters in law, Ruth Cairns of Kingston and Martha Asselin of Toronto.
