FILSINGER, Madeline Sophia (nee Horst)

Cherished wife of the late Clayton Filsinger and much loved mother of Ron (Letitia) Filsinger, Ted Filsinger and Ruth Wise. Predeceased by her sons Jamie Filsinger, John Smith and son in law Brian Wise. Very proud grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
Madeline was a member of St. Peter’s in Neustadt and a past member of the ELW. She was a temporary mother to many foster children. Madeline loved to sing and had been a member of two singing groups. She volunteered for many organizations. She loved to talk with people and had a ready smile. She loved to read. She enjoyed baking and was famous for her butter tarts and apple pies.
A public visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 6-8 pm. A private family funeral will be held at the funeral home on Thursday.
Inurnment at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Neustadt.
