MACDONALD, Marilyn Christine
1935 – 2022
On Tuesday, December 21st, Marilyn lost her struggle with Alzheimer’s disease surrounded by the love and care of family and the amazing staff of Unit 10Y in the General Hospital.
Marilyn will be deeply missed by her husband of 67 years, John; sister-in-law Maxine; sons, David and Stephen; daughters-in-law Laura and Sandy; grandchildren Matt (Elysia), Lindsey (Corey) and Scott; and her great-grandchildren Jack, Lucy and Mason.
Marilyn was predeceased by her two sons, Robert and Kenneth, and daughter Catherine.
Marilyn was born and raised in Edmonton. She lived a full life reflected through the wonderful memories made, priceless time with family, and countless experiences including working at the Hudson’s Bay Company and raising four very active boys. She and John loved nothing more than to escape the chaos of the city to enjoy their beloved cabin on Baptise Lake. In retirement, they also embarked on twice-yearly trips to explore amazing destinations across the four corners of the world. She was an outstanding cook, a sharp dresser, and a loving Grandma.
While we all grieve her passing, we find joy and comfort in knowing Marilyn once again remembers the Marilyn we all love.
The family will hold a celebration of Marilyn’s life at later date in 2022.
Pleaser consider making a donation in Marilyn’s memory to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de MacDonald Marilyn 2021..
