WILSON, Lynette Kathleen
It is with a heavy hurt hearts that we announce the passing of our “Lynette (Lyn) Kathleen Wilson” of Hamtown Corner. Born October 4, 1952 to Vance and Kay Wilson. She is survived by her partner of 18 years, Ann M. Crawford; her big brother, Greg (Karen) of Birdton; uncles, Ronald (Pat); Louis (Joan) and Charlie; numerous cousins; her loving family in St. Andrews whom she considered her family, Wilfred, Carol Anne (Ronald), Mike, Brittany, Ben, Liam and Carter; her family in Nova Scotia, Collen Joy Rector; her family in Ontario, Glen, Anne and Paige.
Lynn was a loving mom to her dogs, Little Bear and Rosie and now Izzy, her kitten. She was a proud long-standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #4. She was truly everyone’s hero, as she battled through her cancer. She final days were spent at Hospice House Fredericton, where she truly believed-angels worked there. She never complained once and kept her sense of humour, her wit, kindness and her view of love, was very special. In 2014, she received the bragging rights to catching the largest trout in our group of five. She loved camping, fishing, campfires, her garden, beating Ann at any board game and cribbage, walking her dogs, drives to St. Andrews, and walks on the beach collecting rocks-that spoke to her, oh! and Coronation St.
Special thanks to the staff of Hospice House Fredericton (who were amazing) and the 3E staff at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital (Palliative Care). She is predeceased by her mom and Dad (Kay and Vance), brother, Dennis Wilson; Aunts, Lillian, Audrey, Ruth, Floris, Shirley, Edith; uncles, Leslie and Rodney.
As per Lyn’s request, there will be no funeral service but a gathering of her family and friends will be held at York Funeral Home on Tuesday October 26, 2021 from 4 – 7 pm. For those attending the public visitation, masks, proof of vaccination and government issued ID are required. Now sweet Lyn, go and catch the big one.
