Obituary of Luigi Pasqua
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Luigi at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, March 28, 2021. Beloved husband of Domenica (Torchia) for 59 years. Cherished father of Tommasina Albino (Rui), Joe and Dino. Nonno of Gabriella, Filipe and Sofia. He will be missed by his sisters and brother and their families in Italy. Luigi was born in 1941 in a small town in Italy called San Mango d’Aquino to the late Antonio and Tommasina Paqua, where he was beloved by all. He immigrated with his family to Canada in 1965. Shortly after he was blessed with a job at Algoma Steel, where he developed numerous friendships and was a devoted employee for 30 years. Family was everything to Luigi. We knew we could count on him for anything. He will always be remembered for his kind and jolly disposition and his warm and gentle nature. A private family service will be held. Memorial donations to the SAH Critical Care Fund would be greatly appreciated. A heartfelt thank you to the Great Northern Retirement Home and the SAH ICU for the care and compassion shown to Luigi and our family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
