Obituary of Lois Jean Clark
The passing of Lois Jean Clark of New Maryland, NB, wife of the late Ronald Clark, occurred on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Hospice Fredericton. Born on March 15, 1949 in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Ada (Barrett) Anderson. Lois was a Registered Nurse working for several years at the Fredericton Medical Clinic. She was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church, Victoria Public Health Nurses Alumni, Lioness and the Fredericton Lawn Bowling Club. Lois enjoyed spending afternoons by the pool, playing cards and traveling with friends, family and the « Getaway Gang ».
Lois is survived by her sons, Steven Clark (Cindy) of New Maryland, NB and Michael Clark (Keri) of Fredericton, NB and cherished grandchildren, Keira, Ryan, Hayden, Reed, and Mallory Clark; sister, Rita Anderson of Fredericton, NB; sisters-in-law, Fran Anderson of Mississauga, ON and Christina Chisholm of Douglas, NB; brothers-in-law, William Clark (Marilyn) of Whitby, ON and Robert Clark (Madonna) of Fredericton, NB; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Lois was predeceased by her brother, George Anderson.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the wonderful nurses and staff of the Fredericton Hospice who helped with Lois’ care and to Dr. Andre LeRoux at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at Grace Memorial Baptist Church, 536 Northumberland Street, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. Peter Lohnes officiating. Due to the current health situation seating will be limited. Interment will take place in Seymour Memorial Cemetery.
