HALES, LODIE (nee Heppner)
Lodie (Locadia) Hales passed away quietly on May 20, 2021 at the age of 97 in Edmonton, Alberta. She was born December 24, 1923 in Radisson, Saskatchewan. She later moved to Regina, taking a licensed beautician course, then worked as a hairdresser for a number of years. While in Regina she married Fred Hales. The couple relocated to Edmonton, Alberta in 1951. Lodie continued working until retiring to raise her family. After the children were in school she returned to work in cosmetics and French fragrances at the Bay where she then retired after 20 years of service in 1987. Lodie enjoyed travelling and took numerous trips and cruises and was able to visit her son and daughter-in-law every year in California. Lodie was grateful to God for her Lutheran faith and the blessing of her good heath throughout her years and always took great pride in looking her best. She is survived by her loving children and grandchildren, daughter, Cheryl (Ron) Holmes, Edmonton, AB, son, Lorry (Kimberly) Hales, Murrieta, CA, grandson, Craig Holmes, Vancouver, BC, granddaughter, Natalie (Sean) Murphy, Edmonton, AB. Lodie is predeceased by her siblings, Agnes, Louise, Leopold, Alfred and Victor. Lodie will always live in the hearts and memories of her family and friends. A private family service followed by interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens has taken place.
