Lloyd George Watson 19382021

Lloyd George Watson
1938-2021
Lloyd G. Watson of Fredericton Junction and formerly of Prince
William, NB passed away on January 29, 2021 at the Dr. Everett
Chalmers Hospital. Lloyd was born on September 18, 1938 at Prince
William, NB, the son of the late George Watson of Old Cumnock,
Ayrshire, Scotland and Doris (Saunders) Watson of Prince William,
NB.
All his life Lloyd enjoyed hunting and fishing and in his later years,
was a force to be reckoned with when it came to playing crib with his
sidekick Rodney and his many friends at the Legion in Fredericton
Junction.
For many years, Lloyd and his wife Patricia and daughter Sandra would
make the treck to Harris Point, Eastport, Maine to go mackerel
fishing. Some trips were not always prosperous but they always
returned with many tall tales to tell.
Sharp-minded until the end, Lloyd was an avid reader and proved to be
a challenge for the York Sunbury bookmobile staff when it came to
finding books for him that he hadn’t already read.
He was a woodsworker and prior to his retirement, worked at Ste. Anne
Nackawic Pulp & Paper Mill for 29 years.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Patricia (Lenentine) Watson; his
daughters, Donna DeForest (Kirk), Moncton, NB and Sandra Allan (Jim),
Charters Settlement, NB; his grandchildren, Ashley Messer (Dustin),
Madison Messer (Chris), Kateland Brewer (Kyle) and Wyatt Allan; great
grandchildren, Easton, RaeLynn, Aria and Allie; nephews, Stephen,
Jeffrey and Michael Nevers; several cousins; brothers-in-law, Carl
Wilkinson (Anna) and Edison Wilkinson (Dorothy); a sister-in-law,
Doris Carson (late Eldon); cherished longtime friend Roger Theraiult
and ever dependable friends and neighbours, Rodney and Marion Hudson.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Betty
Nevers (late Willard); two sisters-in-law, Anne Sinclair (late Dale)
and Doris Rae (late Arnold); several sisters-in-law and
brothers-in-law in the Wilkinson family.
Due to COVID 19, there will be no visitation or funeral service at
this time.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Lloyd, the family
has suggested the Lung Association or the Prince William
Cemetery.
Arrangements by Flewelling Funeral Home, Nackawic, NB.
