“The time of her departure has come. She fought the good fight. She finished the race. She kept the faith.” 2 Tim 4:7 (para)
Mother, Grandma and GG, Lillian’s life was defined by her faith. Her love for family & friends didn’t come to an end with her death. Lillian passed away Thursday afternoon, October 21, 2021, at Langley Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with several serious health issues. Surrounded by loved ones, she took her last breaths here and her first breaths in heaven.
Lillian was born to George & Margaret Clark on December 5, 1934, at the Manville Municipal Hospital, the first hospital in the British Empire in the province of Alberta. Two of her children, a daughter and son, were born to her while still living on the family farm. Leaving the family homestead included an entrepreneurial adventure in the Okanagan, followed by an amazing few years, in North Vancouver where she welcomed her third child, a son. The pioneering spirit that was part of her heritage lived on through Lillian as she made Prince George the place, where she would raise her family. Once the children were grown, Lillian moved to warmer climates and has made Surrey and Langley her home for the last three decades.
Lillian is survived by her children Doris, Wes (Chris), Lawrence (Teresa); Grandchildren Travis (Kate), Jesse (David) Sabrina, Kourtney, Michael (Sydney) and Clark; Great Grandchildren Jay, Josh, Liam, Keziah, Livia, Hank, Mackenzie & Eva. Lillian’s heart was stretched to include extended family who she claimed as her own. Her loving and prayerful commitment for her friends at SouthRidge Fellowship, Sunridge Gardens, Summerhill Gate and TWU will leave a huge void.
Lillian loved large. A Celebration of Love & Life will be held on November 19th at 1:00 pm at SouthRidge Fellowship , 22756-48th Avenue, Langley, BC.
