Leslie “Les” Williams passed away, peacefully, on June 18 2021 at the age of 79, following his battle with cancer.
Born in 1941 in Athabasca, Alberta, the eldest son of the late Raymond & Margaret (Annie) Williams. Les had a passion for nature, teaching children, and singing and playing his guitar. Les was a member of the Teamsters Local 362. He worked for Revelstoke Cement Company for 21 years, after operating his own courier business- CKB Express, named after his 3 daughters. He retired in 1999 due to health reasons.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Knapp Williams; children, Cindy Williams, Kelly Hill, Brandy Ryan; grandchildren, Savanah & Lauryn Hill, Maceo Ryan; step children, Kritsa, Jason Knapp; step grandchildren, Jaelee, Jaimi, Jaymes; Les also raised Maria Garcia alongside child own children; siblings, Thelma Gambler, Doug Williams, David (Elayne), Donnie (Shirley), Ronnie (Rhonda), Darlene (Gary) Wagner, Barbara (Michael) Cooper, Glen Williams (Tina) & Glenda Williams; as well as numerous nieces, & nephews.
In addition to his parents, Les was predeceased by brothers, Harvey and Gerald (Rimp) Williams.
It is Leslie’s wish that Funeral Services not be held, and for his family and friends enjoy a cherished memory in private.
The family would like to thank the Morinville Homecare team for helping Les remain in his home for as long as he did. Also, the Foyer Lacombe Covenant Care for helping Les remain as comfortable as possible.
