LEONE CARMAN FISHER (nee Palmer) On April 12, 2021 at Lanark Lodge, Perth, ON in her 97th year. Pre-deceased by her husband, George (Stoney) in 1997, her sister, Frances Ames, and her infant daughter, Sharon Ann (twin of Shelley). Survived by children, Rev. Shelley (late Roger) Roberts, Perth, David (Linda) Fisher of Kelowna, BC and Barbara (Bob) Hunter of Victoria, BC. Grandmother of Lara Wright of Newcastle, ON, John (Christine) Wright of Lanark, ON, Mike (Sheri) Fisher of Kelowna, BC and Barry (Keri) Fisher of Kelowna, BC. Great grandmother of Sarah, Daniel, Joseph, Carter, Parker, Evan, Leah. Great – great grandmother of Alice in whom she delighted. Beloved aunt of Jill McClurg. Leone worked as a secretary, loved playing bridge, cottage life, skiing, holidays, dogs, and travelling – completing 3 world cruises including visiting the penguins in the Antarctic. She always loved snow and dressing well. She was a charter member of the Oshawa Ski Club and of the United Church Women. Donations in memory of Leone may be made to St. Andrew’s United Church, PO Box 331, Lanark, ON K0G 1K0, to Lanark Lodge (add information) or to the charity of your choice. Following Leone’s long time request, there will be no visitation or memorial service. Death at the end of a long life, well lived, is a solution, not a tragedy. Your personal prayers, fond memories, or kindness to a friend or neighbour will be a fitting and appreciated memorial. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
