Hines, Leonard Charles – We are saddened to announce the passing of Leonard Charles Hines. Age 76 of Charlesville, NS, who passed away on February 27th, 2021 at home. Born in Grand Lake and moved to Charlesville at a young age. Leonard was a hard worker; he worked in many aspects of the fishing industry. He enjoyed hockey, hunting, trout fishing, camping and playing cards. He was the son of the late Charles and Ada (Stevens) Hines. Leonard was predeceased by sisters, Norma, Ethel, Constance, Doris and Sharon; brothers, William and John. Survived by sisters, Joyce McComiskey, Florence MacKay (Doug) and brother, Brian (Carolyn) Hines. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Carolyn (Larkin) Hines; children, Carolyn (Floyd) Amirault, Richard (Corinne), Sandra (Wayne) Smith and James (Sarah); grandchildren, Chelsey (Aiden), Natalie (Mark), Roman, Morgan, Vanessa, Victoria, Nicholas, Cody and Jack; step grandson, Shayne and great-grandson, Oliver; along with many nieces and nephews he loved dearly. His family was his whole world and he spent many happy moments with them during his illness. A heartfelt thank-you to Stephen Goreham and Marvin (Sandy) Stoddard for praying with Leonard and his acceptance of his Lord and Savior. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. There will be no service at this time. Memorial donations may be made to the Barrington Lion’s Hall or the VON.
