Daigle, Lenora in her 90th year, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on 27 June 2021. Dearly loved wife of Eli for 64 years. Mother of Denyse Robinson, Debra Eppel (Edwin), Louis (Janet) and Dianna Pietsch (Chris). Cherished by her grandchildren, Christopher, Alexandra (Kyle), Matthew, Alison Greig (Steve), Brittney, Brianne, Nicholas (Dana), Victoria (Eric), Spencer, Jason Gire (Heather) and Robert McDonald. Beloved Great Grandmother to Alexander, Coby, Kristen, Kolton, Kameron, Adelyn and Laine.
Lenora was born in Avonlea, Saskatchewan, and came from a family of 13 children. Raised during the depression and world war, her adventures brought her to Ontario and hairdressing school. Here she made a career in Toronto and later after marriage, in her home in Brookville.
She was involved for many years with the Nassagaweya Women’s Institute and her church Ebenezer United.
Lenora’s creative eye gave her talent in her love of gardening, redecorating, upholstery and other crafts. In the summer time, she would always be found outside. Family was very important to her, and our home was always the meeting place for many family travelers over the years.
She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Family and Friends are invited to gather at the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main St.E., Milton on Wednesday June 30, 2021 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm by RSVP online.
A private family service will take place at Ebenezer United Church on Friday July 2, 2021 with interment to follow at the Ebenezer United Church Cemetery.
Those wishing to make memorial donations in honor of Lenora can be made to the Ebenezer United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society, which would be appreciated by the family.
