Obituary for Laura Ann Lawrence
Passed away in Toronto on Friday, March 19th, 2021, after a final battle with cancer. Predeceased by both adoptive parents, with surviving sister Pamela Jessen in BC (married to Ray, remembered by nephew Troy in Alberta and niece Ashley in BC). Much loved by The Children of Her Heart – April Osborne of Airdrie, Alberta (married to Mike) and Gerald Arsenault now in Rainy River, Ontario. Granny to ‘Squirrelies Girlies’ Alicia and Emma Osborne. She will be fondly remembered by her many friends and by all those she has helped along their life’s pathway.
Laura was a detail oriented worker, with a touch of flamboyance. She had the gift of making friends from colleagues and maintaining international friendships. She loved hosting parties to celebrate milestones, being with people, travel, and trips to Wasaga Beach and Niagara On The Lake, and tasting wine. The Annual Tree Trimming Party was the highlight of her year, gathering together all the humans that she cared for.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a private spreading of remains. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made In Memoriam to the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre of Toronto.
