Obituary
Larry Delmer Riehl, third child of Arthur and Lydia and baby brother to Alice and Roger; was born at home on the farm northwest of Wildwoood, with midwife Edla Ahlskog on February 7, 1940.
As a young lad he was quite the prankster- always getting the others to do daring deeds that he would not do. Like holding on to the spark plug of the pump jack motor then touching us so we got the shock. I think he pulled that on anyone who stood close enough to him. He attended the Knowledge View School, located where the Ravine Hall is now. He liked to play ball and ride horses. As a young adult he got bucked off and broke his leg which was in a cast for over a year. Don’t forget he drove “Tom” the model T through many mud holes that no one else dared to try. Some of the jobs he had driving truck were for Huckaluks Swan Hills, Imp Oil, Wildwood Texaco Jim and Irene Pritchard, Chenrys out of Whitecourt and an outfit out of Williams Lake B.C.
He leaves to mourn his loss two brothers, Roger (Jean) and Elmer (Carol); two sisters Diane Jendrick and Lois Davio; foster granddaughters Jessica, Maddison and Gina. Many nieces, nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Lydia (August 1993), father Arthur (March 2008); his nephew Eric Pudlo (March 2015); niece Mariann Lang (Pudlo) (August 2015); and his sister Alice Pudlo (April 2016).
