Kevin’s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kevin Christopher, of St. Mary’s, (formerly of Mall Bay, S.M.B.), age 69, at the Health Science Centre, St. John’s, on March 17, 2021.
Predeceased by his parents Frances & Leo Christopher; grandparents: Mary & Joseph Christopher and Deborah & Ted Synyard, brother Leo Christopher Jr.; sisters: Monica Mercer, Theresa Christopher, Geraldine Christopher; brothers-in-law Frank White and Kevin Power, parents-in-law Leonard & Elizabeth Molloy; brothers-in-law: Peter Molloy (Augusta Gibbons), Edward Molloy, Ronald Critch, Neil Fleming and Hugh Kielly and sister-in-law Anne Gibbons. Lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 39 years Cecilia (nee Molloy); sisters: Joan White, Cecilia (Henry), Doreen (Allan), brother Leonard (Donna); special aunts: Agnes Stack, Mary White, Cecilia Lecoure, one uncle Joe Christopher, godchild Paula Boland; sisters-in-law: Madonna Fleming (Pat), Betty Kielly (Bill), Theresa Critch (Larry), Martina Cahill, Marlene Molloy and Darlene Christopher; brothers-in-law: Ronnie Molloy (Sylvia), Leonard Molloy (Vonnie), Cyril Molloy, Donald Molloy (Valerie) and John Gibbons and many nieces, nephews, cousins and his numerous friends, especially: Steve Snook, Clayton J. Corcoran, Irene & Dave Rose, Ryden French, Derrick Bishop and dart players from many venues, especially the Royal Canadian Legion, Riverhead.
Special thanks to the « Lung Warriors », who kept in touch with words of encouragement over the past three years since his double lung transplant; staff of Gibbons’ Ambulance Service, St. Mary’s Pharmacy, St. Mary’s Health Centre and doctors, nurses and staff of St. Clare’s Hospital and HSC – 4th Floor and ICU Department. Heartfelt thanks to the Christopher and Molloy families for their unwavering support, especially during the past four months.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, a private Mass and burial will be held. A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the family in care of Cecilia Christopher.
