1952-2021
It is with extreme heartache that we announce the peaceful passing of Ken Latham, at home surrounded by his family, at the age of 69. Dear husband of Marcie (MacKinnon) of 44 years and beloved father of his “favourite” and only daughter Karen (Mathew). Cherished and fun loving Grampy of Sophie and Lyla. Dear brother of Betty (John), Anna and Bryan (Evelyn). Survived by his sisters in law Donna (John), Liz (Wayne) and Judy. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews that all held a special place in his heart. He is predeceased by his parents Claude and Edna, sisters Queenie Marie (Vince), Delores (Popeye), brothers-in-law Terry, George and his kitties Lily and Tiger. Ken was a caring man with a good sense of humour who loved to keep people laughing. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends and telling a good story. He had a passion for music and movies. Ken spent most of his life working at the Met site at Kidd Creek. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed training the summer students. We love you Dad, It’s time to rest now. As per his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no service or visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation or a charity of your choice. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
