Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of Kenneth “Ken” Arthur Oliver announce his sudden passing on January 10, 2021 at the age of 63 years.
Ken was born October 10, 1957 in Eston, SK, the youngest of six children. He grew up on a farm and attended school in Greenan, Elrose and then moved to Rosetown in grade nine where he completed his education. He farmed in his early years, worked for Wiseton Redi-Mix and finally for the town of Rosetown until his retirement. After retirement, he enjoyed carpentry, building garages and helping with building a cabin. Ken married Susan Krochak on March 24, 1979 and the two were blessed with a daughter, Krista.
Ken enjoyed spending time at the lake, camping, fishing, hunting and quadding. He liked being in the kitchen, cooking or baking as well as outside firing up the BBQ. He was an excellent bowler and loved playing the guitar in his younger years and recently started playing again. Ken’s family always came first, he loved watching his grandchildren participate in all of their activities and sports, chats with his sisters over the phone and was always available for coffee with friends. He had a soft spot for cats, especially his cat Smokey.
Ken is survived by his wife Susan, daughter Krista (Schaun) Machart, grandchildren Tori-Lynn and Troy Machart, siblings Sharon (Dan) Danielson, Diana (Charles) King, Bonnie (Jerry) Bartzen and Eleanor (Neil) Head as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
