Dr. Robert Alexander Keller
December 1, 1940, Winnipeg – January 24, 2021, Montreal
With deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Robert (Bob) Keller. He will be dearly missed by his wife Evelyn Sarmiento, son John Keller (Tamara), daughter Elizabeth Keller (Rob), and grandchildren Thomson, Isabel, Landon and Arlan. He is predeceased by parents Alex and Jessica (Jessie, nee Kostyk), and survived by sisters Margaret and Lisa.
Following graduation in Medicine from the University of Manitoba, Bob spent time in Philadelphia and New York City in the ‘60’s, prior to settling in Montreal in the 1970’s, a city which he loved. As Head of the BTU (Brief Therapy Unit, Psychiatry) at the Allan Memorial Institute (Royal Victoria Hospital), and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at McGill University, he took great pride in his time spent there, and was dedicated to the care of his patients. In his spare time, he was an avid downhill skier and long-distance runner, always planning the next ski trip, and completing the Montreal and New York City marathons.
There will be no service or funeral. In lieu of flowers please donate to the McGill University Health Centre Covid-19 Research Foundation at: www.muhcfoundation.com/covid-19.
