Born January 6, 1965,
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of a beautiful, sweet, loving soul, Karen Lawrence of Bala, Ontario on January 24, 2021. Karen slipped away peacefully with her brother and best friend Don by her side. She is survived by her brother Donald Jr, of Bailieboro, her parents Donald Sr. and Sylvia, of Wasaga Beach, and her cat Sassy. Karen grew up in the Clarkson area of Mississauga and moved to Muskoka in the early 90’s and never looked back. As with her mother and grandmother, her passion was cooking for others and she worked at various exclusive establishments, perfecting her culinary skills throughout her life. Karen’s infectious laugh and big heart will be deeply missed by her friends and family. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will take place at a later date. An online service may take place and will be announced at a later date. The Lawrence family wish to thank the staff at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital for the care that Karen received in her short stay.
