Peacefully passed away at Macassa Lodge, Hamilton, on Sunday, December 12, 2021 in his 98th year. Beloved husband of Adriana Kors. Predeceased by his first wife Eve (2001).
Loving father of Margaret (Jeff), Annette (Walt), Judy (Frank), Cornelis (Jane) and Michael (Sharon)
Cherished Opa/Grandfather of Janine (Mark), Stephanie (David), Kaitlin, Meaghan (Michael), Stephen (Aly), Ronald (Paula), Sandy (John), Courtney (Chris), Justin (Beth), Devon (Crystal), Olga (Jason), Melissa (Bret) and Amanda and great grandfather of Abigail, Avery, Mya, Christian, Logan, Christopher, Montgomery, Maxwell, Gayla, Blake, Annie, Jacob(deceased), Carter, Skylar, Sebrina, Tristan, Addison, Colton, Jaxon, Nicole and Nicholas
Dear brother of Titi, Piet, Ferdy, Joeke and Addie.
Karel was the definition of a true gentleman. He was always a very happy, funny man that was happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends. He was a long-time member of Westdale Reformed Church and we can all take comfort in knowing that it was his time to be called home to Jesus.
A heartfelt thank you to all of the staff at Macassa Lodge for their compassion and dedication to providing the best care possible.

Cremation has taken place. A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, Waterdown. Karel will be laid to rest with Eve at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Copetown.
If desired, as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
