Obituary
It is with great sadness the the family of the late Junior Maxwell Anstey, age 68 years of Cottlesville, NL announce his passing at Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.
He is predeceased by his parents Maxwell & Selena, sister Rose, parents-in-law Oswald & Marie Rideout and sister-in-law Beverly Rideout.
Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Diane, daughter Tonya (Robin), son Jody (Joline), grandsons Brayden, Landon, granddaughters Rebecca, Presley, siblings Maisie (Mark), Helen (Junior), Rex (Josie), Ted (Lisa), Fred (Marion), Sheila (Barry), Verna (Glenn), Terry (Arlene), Nancy (Nick), Trevor (Peg), brothers-in-law David (Lori), Lorne (Trudy) and Dean (Hazel) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Junior loved his life on the water but looked forward to those fall moose hunting trips with his brothers and buddies (Frank, Lloyd & Wince). He also enjoyed the winter wood cutting trips made with his brothers. Junior was a jokester, always had a witty come back. He loved teasing his grandkids and other kids that frequented their home. He will be greatly missed by all those who had the opportunity to spend time with him.
Resting at New World Island Funeral Home, Summerford, NL with public visitation on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 7-9 p.m. following the Covid-19 regulations. Funeral service will take place from the funeral home chapel on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. by invitation only.
Donations in Junior’s memory may be given to his family to purchase a item for the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, palliative care room.
