June 12, 1930 – March 17, 2021
June Montgomery (nee Kitchen) of Creemore passed away peacefully on March 17, 2021 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Tom of 69 years, loving father of Barb (Bob) McArthur, Jane (late Tom) Anderson, Margie Greer (Ron McCarl), Merle (Ronnie) MacDonald. Cherished Nana/Nanny of Mark (Sabrina) & Krista McArthur, Heather, David & Scott Anderson, Christopher (Anita) Greer & Cory Halliday (Hailey Chapman), Kaitlyn MacDonald (Tyler Barrette). Proud great grandma to Easton, Summer, Reese, Ryleigh, Maddux, Oaklyn, and Heidi. Sister of Robert ‘Bob’ Kitchen and his wife Kaye. Born June 12, 1930 at Redickville to Milton and Sadie (Harrison) Kitchen. June belonged to the St. John’s United Church Women and choir, taught Sunday School, member of the Eastern Star, Bokhara Court 22 Shrine Ladies, and was an employee/volunteer at Creedan Valley Nursing Home. June worked as a switchboard operator for Bell in Creemore, a custodian with the Simcoe County District School Board, and was a kitchen aid at Devil’s Glen Ski Club. Numerous children and parents will remember June as a trusted babysitter. Cremation has taken place and a private family service was held. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John’s United Church, Creemore or the Creemore Cemetery Board are appreciated by the family.
