Wallace, June Marie (McLennan) (June 13, 1927 – August 18, 2021) –
June Marie (McLennan) Wallace, a resident of Tillsonburg and formerly of Courtland, passed away peacefully, at the age of 94. June entered Heaven on August 18th, 2021, where she was reunited with her loving husband of 36 years, Ross. She will be remembered by many for her big heart and genuine dedication as a teacher for 25 years; between the former Tillson Ave Public School (5 years), Springford Public School (13 years), and Elliott Fairbairn Public School (7 years). June will also be greatly missed by her church family at the Goshen Baptist Church. Always a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her son David Hurley (Diane), of Stratford and their children, Krista Hurley (children Ivy, Stella), Jennifer Hurley (Michael Bickell) (children Annabelle, Olivia, Evelyn, Amelia), Kimberly Hurley (Anthony Jordaan) (children Maximus, Maverick, Malaya); her son Dale Hurley (Berdine), of Port Rowan and their children, Michael Hurley (Ronda) (children Rylin, Brinley, Bryelle), Melissa (Ryan Kosir) (daughter Alice), Carolyn (Shawn MacDonald) (children Isla, Miles, Elliot), Laura Hurley (Jasper Belding); her son Brent Wallace (Lisa), of Courtland and their children, Ryan Wallace, Abby Wallace, Collin Wallace; Lynn Wallace (Ken Ferrier); Brian Wallace. June is predeceased by her first husband George Albert Hurley. Also survived by in-laws Lloyd (Ruth) Hurley, of Tillsonburg.
In keeping with June’s expressed wishes, a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 21st, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc. Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg, under the care of Pastor Carl Walters, of Goshen Baptist Church. Burial follows in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Due to government-imposed attendance restrictions, the funeral service will regrettably be by invitation only at this time. All who knew June are invited to attend public visitation on Friday, August 20th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. or on Saturday, August 21st from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. All attendees are required to wear a mask and are asked to always follow social distancing guidelines.
