It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Julia L Lee of Grand Bank announces her passing. Julia passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Thursday, September 16th, 2021, at the age of 82.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, William (Louise) of Grand Bank, Perry (Natalie) of Nova Scotia; daughter, Peggy Riggs (Robert) of Grand Bank; sisters, Meta Cumben of Grand Bank, Edna Drake (Ernest) of Frenchman’s Cove, Phyllis Walsh (Ray) of Marystown; brother, Lorne Newport (Ann) of Winterland; sisters in-law, Eloise Newport of Winterland, Margaret Trafford of Nova Scotia; brother in-law, William Lee (Jean) of Corner Brook; 5 grandchildren, Dominique Lee ( Mike Cox), Kayla Hillier (Colin), Tyler Lee, Kaitlyn Lee, Ethan Lee; 3 great-grandchildren, Evan Hillier, Kali Cox, Levi Jacob Cox; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Julia was predeceased by her husband, Jacob of 62 years; parents, Richard & Susie Newport; brothers Obediah Newport, Reuben Newport; sister, Susie Walters; brothers in-law, Thomas Cumben, William Walters, Gerry Trafford; sisters in-law, Roberta Newport, Carry Pardy; parents in-law, Elias & Susie Lee.,
The Lee Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Grand Bank on Saturday, September 18th, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Sunday, September 19th, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. In keeping with the current Covid-19 regulations this will be a walk through visitation with a maximum of 30 people permitted inside the building at one time. All visitors are asked to please sign the contact tracing sheet upon entering the building. Masks are encouraged to be worn. No food or beverages are permitted.
Funeral service will take place at the Salvation Army Citadel, Grand Bank on Monday, September 20th, 2021 at 2:00pm. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank.
In Julia’s memory donations may be made to Salvation Army Cemetery Fund, Grand Bank or flowers gratefully accepted.
