It is with deep sadness, we the Vanacker family share the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, Jules Bruno Vanacker, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, on February 26th, 2021, at the age of 85. Jules was born in Ypres, W.F., Belgium to the late Henricus and late former Magdalena (Debruyne) Vanacker. Much loved husband of 60 wonderful years to Jeannine (Priem) Vanacker, of Courtland. Caring father to Brenda (Mike) Walker, of Port Dover and to Sandra Vanacker, of Courtland. Special grandfather to Michael (Odessa) Walker and their children: Octavius, Ziggy, Olympia, Zepplyn; and granddaughter Jessie Walker. Survived by siblings: Mariette (Richard), Francine (Eddie). Also survived by his in-laws: Jeanette Priem, Mary-Louise Popieul, Willy Priem (Cheryl), Andre Priem (late Jeanette), as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his siblings Suzanne (late Maurice), Simone (late Marcel), Ivonne (late Maurice), Laura (survived by husband Hector), Lucienne (late Marcel), Marion (Late Roger).
In keeping with Jules’ expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service. Later inurnment will take place in the Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery, Langton. Friends and relatives are invited to offer their support and caring by posting photos, sending flowers, sharing special memories and hugs from home on Jules’ tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com.
