Judith Mae « Judy » Pyle
1941-2021
Judith Mae « Judy »
Pyle – 79, Bible Hill.
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Judith Mae
« Judy » Pyle on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Cedarstone
Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the
late James and Irene (Morrow) Pyle.
Judy resided in Boylston before moving with her family to
Mulgrave where she helped run the family business, Pyle’s
Grocery. Judy and her mother moved to Truro in 1990 to be closer to
her sister and her family. Judy was a member of St. David’s
United Church and Hannah Group UCW, Bible Hill. When her health
permitted, she loved to bowl and was a member of Colchester Stroke
Club.
Judy was a friend to many, especially her neighbour and good
friend, Mary Turple. She was kind and generous with her time and
thoughtfulness; many were lucky to be gifted with a pot of homemade
chicken soup and loaf of bread. She enjoyed watching Montreal
Canadiens and Toronto Blue Jays and engaging in a spirited debate
about politics. But more than anything, she loved spending time with
family and her cousin, Sharon Cleary.
Judy is survived by her sister, Sandra (Bryan) McLellan,
Valley; niece, Shannon McLellan and her son, Connor McLellan, Truro;
niece, Lisa McLellan (Marshall Fulmer) and their children, Lawson,
Madison and Beckett, Old Barns; numerous cousins.
The family would like to express our sincere thanks to the
staff of Cedarstone Enhanced Care for the care and compassion shown to
Judy.
Graveside service will be held at a later date at Boylston
Baptist Church Cemetery, Boylston, Guysborough County. If so desired,
donations in Judy’s memory to Colchester Stroke Club are
welcomed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Private messages of
condolence may be sent to the family by viewing Judy’s
