Creelman, Joyce Edith
– 94, of Truro, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 in
the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, Joyce
was a daughter of the late Noble and Flora (Phillips) Creelman. She is
survived by several nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her
brothers, Louis and William; and sister, Eileen (Creelman)
Lynds.
Joyce lived in various
places before moving to California. The last two decades were spent
between the east and west coast. Always up to date on current affairs
both in Canada and the USA and ready with an informed opinion
– she could hold her own anywhere. Joyce was an independent
woman with a fine sense of humour and a quick wit. She was charitable,
non-judgemental and open minded. Joyce had a special place in her
heart for children and animals; especially her many dog companions
over the years. There was an open-door policy wherever she resided,
she always had time for a visit. Joyce enjoyed a long healthy life and
as she wanted, remained in her own home until her final
day.
A private family
burial will take place at a later date in Fisher Creek Cemetery, Green
Oaks. If so desired, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Private messages of condolence
may be sent to the family by viewing Joyce’s obituary
