Josephine Marion Wamback
1921-2021
It is with deep sadness that we the family of Josephine
(Joker) Wamback announcing her passing at the QE11 in Halifax. Joker
was born in Bridgewater and was the youngest child of Archie and Emma
(Sarty) Ramey. She was the last surviving member of her immediate
family.
Until just a short while ago she enjoyed watching
CNN, playing cards and lunches out at her favourite restaurants. She
delighted in phone calls and visits from her family and friends. Her
bubbly laughter will be remembered as well as her quirky sense of
humour. When she turned 100, she was heard to say more than once.
« I guess I’m getting old. »
She leaves
behind her son, David Whitman (Alma). Grandaughter, Lana Whitman and
great grandson, Campbell Lohnes. Niece, Heather Veinotte (Bruce).
Nephews, Douglas Ramey (Marjorie), James Boylan (Vera) and numerous
great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first
and second husbands, Ken Whitman and Frank Wamback. Sisters, Della
Boylan (Arthur), Flossie Ramey. Mildred Cohn (Jack). Brothers, Ecker
Ramey (Merna), Guy Ramey (Ola) and Donnie Ramey (Eva). Nephews, Earl
and Raymond Boylan, and Bill and Allan Ramey.
A grave side
service will be held at Brookside Cemetery, on August 14 at 11:00 a.m.
with Rev. Catherine Robar officiating. Arrangements are under the care
of R. A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville. Donations in Josephine’s
memory may be made to the SPCA, a charity of your choice or tell
