A big man with a big laugh and a big heart, John Marcucci will be missed by all who knew him. John passed away peacefully at home after a brief battle with lung cancer. Born on a kitchen table near Royal York and Dundas, John spent most of his life farming and gardening in the Milton area. He was passionate about his garden which, after retirement, gradually took over his yard. His peppers, corn, beans and summer savoury were family favourites. John was as generous and welcoming with his produce as he was with his humour and loud, infections laugh. And he was always ready to play games with the family, especially ‘31’, even though he almost never won. He never gave up on anything and was always ready to help however he could. He is survived by the love of his life for 59 years, Anna, his children Ric (Cynthia), Mark, and Trish. Loving Papa to Rachel, Isabelle, Sami, Victor and Jason, he was deeply proud of his grandchildren. A beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews, he will also be missed by his siblings Fanny, Mary, Tony and Danny. John was predeceased by his brother Frank.
A private family service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel.
