John Lavers
1946-2021
Peacefully
with family by his side, the passing of John Lavers age 74, occurred
on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the Kings County Memorial Hospital. Born
October 9, 1946, he was the son of the late David R. and Ella B.(Ross)
Lavers. Survived by sons, Sheldon (Ariel Gogan) Lavers and Jody
(Amanda Gay) MacDonald; two cherished grandchildren, Jackson and
Wyatt; sister Margaret (Dale) Gallagher; sisters-in-law Marion Lavers
and Joan Lavers; brother-in-law Charles Yorston; several cousins,
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Mary Evelyn Stewart, mother of
Sheldon and Jody; brothers Gordon Lavers, Keith Lavers and David
(Buck) Lavers; sister Marion Yorston.
John worked over
42 years at East Isle Shipyard. He loved watching Lawn Mower
Racing at the old race track in St. Peters. Enjoyed doing Diamond Art
work in his spare time and spending time with family.
John will be greatly missed
and remembered by all who came to know and love him.
Private visitation and burial will take place at a
