Obituary for
John Edward Buffett
With heavy hearts and great sadness the family of John Edward Buffett, age 84, of Head of Bay D’Espoir, is sad to announce his passing on April 12th, 2021 at the Dr Hugh Twomey Health Care Centre at Botwood.
Leaving to mourn his loving family; wife, Effie of 54 years; one son, Neil (wife, Beverly) at Arnold’s Cove; one daughter, Sharon (husband, Shawn) at Grand Falls-Windsor; five grandchildren, Nicole (Michael) at Gander, Nathan (Danielle) at Lewisporte, Nicholas (Rochelle) at St. John’s, Brianna and Jolie, both at Grand Falls-Windsor; 3 great-grandchildren, Emma, Jackson and Blair; five brothers, Chris Buffett at Quebec, Herb Buffett at Ontario, Nelson Buffett (Allison) at Ontario, Simeon Buffett (Jean) and Dave Buffett (Evelyn), both at Bay D’Espoir; sisters, Minnie Noseworthy at PEI, Gladys Lee (Wilbert) at Nova Scotia, Shirley Poole (Allan) at Bishop’s Falls and Doris Kearley at Grand Falls-Windsor; plus a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by two brothers, Roy Buffet and baby, Gerald Buffett; parents, Henry and Sarah Buffett; step brother, Jim Buffett and step sisters, Nora, Cora and Mary.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 14th, 2021 at 2:00 pm from the Christ Anglican Church, Milltown with Rev Hubert Vallis officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Milltown.
Donations may be made to the Christ Anglican Church, Milltown.
