Passed away on November 8, 2021 at the age of 92. He leaves behind to mourn his passing, daughter Sandra (Wayne Herman), son in law Chris Armitage, grandsons Jeffrey Herman, Sean Armitage and Daniel Armitage. He is also survived by siblings Dorothy Erwin, Ethel Melbourne, Cecil Ramsbottom, Helen Peters and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many lifelong friends and the Smith family. Ed is predeceased by his wives Ella (1989), Shirley (2019), daughter Wanda (2021), step daughter Barb (2008), his parents and 3 siblings (Gordon, Jim and Keith). Ed was born in Lanark County and lived most of his adult life in Milton where he worked for the Milton Hydro. He was a kind, caring man who spent his life helping others.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the McKERSIE-KOCHER FUNERAL HOME 114 Main St. E. Milton 905-878-4452 from 7 pm to 9 pm on Wednesday.
