Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of John Stanley Cormack announces his passing at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
John was born in Montreal to loving parents, Thomas Cormack (deceased) and June Camp (deceased). He was predeceased in 2015 by his sister Allison Sears.
John is survived by his sister Linda MacDougall (Brian), brother James, sister-in -law Jackie, brother-in-law Robert Sears, Ann Cormack and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends in Hamilton and Montreal.
The family would like to thank Sherry Ogden for the caring help she gave John, especially during this past year.
John’s home was very important to him and he filled it with the things that he loved. His lifelong passion for music was evidenced by his guitars, keyboard, CDs and the songbooks he created for his own use. He was very proud of his computer which he had built himself and which he used to keep in touch with family and friends. Like his father and his brother James, John enjoyed working with his hands and he had a large collection of tools.
John had a deep love for his animal family, his dogs Midnight and Dipstick, calling them his  » boys ». He was heartbroken when his illness forced him to find them new homes.
» Every life is noted and is cherished, and nothing loved is ever lost or perished ».
John,  » The song is ended, but the melody lingers on « . Always in my heart, Sis
Cremation has occurred. Due to Covid restrictions, a memorial gathering will take place at a later date.
