After a brief illness, early on Friday morning November 5th, while John was asleep, God sent his angel and gently took him home. He enjoyed a long healthy life of 91 years, 67 of those years with his loving wife Iona. John was born in Camrose, Alberta in 1930. In 1941 at Carstairs convention, he said yes to Jesus guiding his life and with God’s help stood true to that commitment until he took his last breath. John and Iona have made many friends and connections through their years spent in Edmonton, Winnipeg, Montreal and Calgary. Their marriage of 67 years brought to them 5 sons and their wives who John and Iona consider as their own daughters. John’s personable nature, standard of integrity and strong work ethic enabled him to have a long career with the Hudson Bay Company, Federal Business and Development Bank of Canada and a private consulting business well into his 80’s.
