Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Johanna (Joan) loving wife to Theo and mother to Desiree (Doug), Lucy (Doug), Joyce (Barry) and Bernadette (Tetsuya).
Our Mom fought a courageous battle with COVID over the last 2-weeks succumbing peacefully on April 23, 2021. Thank you to Unit 44 at the Grey Nuns Hospital for their care & compassion.
She will be heartbreakingly missed by her husband, daughters, sons-in-law, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Mom, Oma, Goma will always have a special place in all our hearts.
Due to COVID restrictions a memorial service will be held at a later date.
At Mom’s request, in lieu of flowers, a donation to The Sign of Hope Society of the Catholic Social Services, 12431 Stony Plain Rd, Edmonton, AB T5N 3N3 would be appreciated.
