Joanne Darlene Budvarson
May 23, 1937 – February 8, 2021
It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we are informing you of the passing of Joanne Budvarson (nee) Olsen after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, February 8, 2021. Even though with all her pain, she managed to have a good sense of humour.
She loved animals, especially her horses and pomeranian dogs. Her favourite horse was a beautiful palomino whose name was Kim, and Jo loved to ride and go to horse shows. She loved to play bingo, play casino games on her tablet and play cards with her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Gwen & Ken Budvarson and Bev & Barry Budvarson. Jo loved being with her family, especially with her granddaughter, Shayla (Lukas); grandsons, Bryce, and Dallas (Amanda). She was overjoyed to play with her newest great-granddaughter, Natalie, who is very energetic and full of fun. Also great-granddaughters Isabella and Deziree. She will be sorrowfully missed by her sister, Faye (Harold); who spent many hours talking on the phone. She cared deeply for her sons, Perry (Tanya) and Jim (Sherri).
When time permitted Perry and Bill helped her can dill pickles which were delicious. Jo loved her garden and working in her flower beds, which gave her joy and happiness. Jo was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Audrey Olsen who farmed south of Eckville. In the future, many memories will be remembered by all who knew her. Jo will be deeply missed by her husband, Bill; they were always together.
As per Joannes wishes there will be no Funeral . Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a donation of your choice.
A special thank you to all the girls on Unit 32 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital and Margo, as well as the girls at the Red Deer Hospice.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Joanne Darlene Budvarson February 8th 2021..
