Obituary of Joan Imogene Otis
It is with great sadness that the family of Joan Imogene Otis, of Norton, announce her passing which occurred on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Sus, NB, on April 10, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Bessie (Marshall) Davidson.
Joan is survived by her son Russell Otis (Bernice) of Norton, NB; grandchildren: Mark (Ivy) Otis, Sherry Otis Blakney (Aubrey), Wendy Otis (Stuart), Mandy Shaw (Sean), and Laurie Shaw (Tiffany); great grandchildren: Natalie, Nevin, Brandon, Damian, Cameron, Adrian, Adisen, Rhaya, Avrie, Annie and Kris; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her loving husband Aubrey Otis; daughter Doris Otis; sister Joyce Pollock; and niece Hazel Douthwright.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. The graveside funeral service will take place on Wednesday, Sept 29th, 2021 at 2:00pm at Riverbank Cemetery. Due to the provincially mandated COVID-19 regulations, physical distancing must be maintained.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sus Extra Mural for all their care given towards Joan. A sincere thank you as well to Theresa, Jenny-Lee and Sylvie, your kindness and compassion will not be forgotten.
