Mills, Joan Adell (Holler)
Peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Hospice of Waterloo Region at the age of 81.
Beloved wife of the late Bill Mills (2014). Dear mother of Penny and Brad Nickel of Conestogo.
Loving grandma of Brittany (Jonny Willsey), Bailey, the late Brandon Nickel, and great-nana of Blake Willsey. Sister of George (Heinz) Holler, Albert (Kathy) Holler.
Lovingly remembered by her companion Ken McMeekin. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Della (Hayward) Holler, sister Ruth Hatt, and brother Doug Holler.
Joan lived all her married life in Tara and enjoyed her summers at the cottage at Colpoys Bay. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 383, Tara, as well as a member of the Red Hat Society, Tara. Joan will be remembered for her love of music and hats!
Cremation has taken place. At this time, a private family burial will take place in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice Waterloo Region or Royal Canadian Legion Branch 383, Tara would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
A special thank you to all of mom’s healthcare workers including Grey Bruce Health Services – Owen Sound Hospital, Grey & Bruce Community Health Services, and Waterloo Region Community Health Services and Hospice of W.R. for taking such good care of Joan.
