Joan Marie Fisher
1940-2021
Fisher, Joan Marie, 80, Truro, passed away Thursday, February
18, 2021, in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in
Springhill, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Rita Mae
(MacLean) Harrison.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth, Dartmouth; daughters, Ann
Fisher and Marlene Fisher, both of Truro; grandchildren, Patricia
Naugle, Robert Wright, James Weatherbee, Jason Graham (Alicia);
brother, Gilbert (Karen) Maund; sister, Betty MacPhee; half-sisters,
Janice Smith, Patsy Keizer, Audrey Gogan; numerous, nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Elroy Fisher;
brothers, Ronald « Dougie », Kenneth, Gary, Carl,
Thomas; sisters, Dorothy, Faye, Mary-Ann; half-sister, Marjorie
Dunphy.
No visitation by family request. A graveside service will
take place in the spring in the Brookfield Westside Cemetery,
Brookfield, and will be announced on our website. Arrangements are
under the direction of the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young
Street, Truro. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation or to the Liver Foundation of Canada. Private messages of
