Guigue, Joan Margaret
(nee Enright)
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother and nanny, Joan Guigue, in her 78th year, on April 29, 2021. Joan was born on September 1, 1943 to loving parents Donald and Rita Enright (nee McMahon). Recently predeceased by her loving husband John of 48 years, her shining star was waiting for her, and they are reunited and together again. Loving mother of Nancy Corcoran (Rick), wonderful step-mother of Marilyn LaRocque (Bill) and John Guigue (Louise). Forever loved Nanny and Granny to Shawn, Trevor, Ashley, Christine, Joshua, Jared, Morgan and Taylor. Joan is survived by her brother Jim Enright, sisters Betty Enright and Colleen Springer, and predeceased by her brother Pat Enright.
Joan worked with OCDSB in the school cafeterias preparing many wonderful meals for staff and students. She met wonderful people over her many years and made lasting friendships. Joan was an avid Ottawa Senators fan, she loved watching every game and never gave up on them.
Our dearest Joan has overcome so many battles over this last year, she is a very strong woman and deserves to be resting in paradise. The world will never be the same without her in it, we are all devastated to have lost her. She was a kind woman who would give anything she could to help anyone, even and especially a stranger. There are no words to describe the void this will leave in all of our lives. Love you to the moon and back, until we meet again. We forever have 2 angels watching over us.
A private visitation was held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean, ON. When restrictions permit, a memorial service will also be held at the funeral home. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery. Donations in memory of Joan can be made to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, or to The Lung Association.
