It is with heavy hearts that we announce
the death of Joan D. White, 88, of
Amherst, and formerly of Springhill, NS on Sunday, August 22,
2021. Born in Springhill, Joan was a daughter of the late
John and Alberta (Carter) Reynolds.
Joan enjoyed doing crafts and seeing her
friends at Tim Horton’s for a daily cup of coffee. She was a
devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved spending
time with her family. She was loved by all who knew her and
will be dearly missed.
Joan is survived by two son, Richard
« Rooney » (Wendy) White, Northport, NS, Gerald (Mary E.
George) White, Linden, NS; seven grandchildren, Jody, Richard, April,
Tammy, Billy, Andrew and Page; several great grandchildren, nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased
by her husband, William « Bill » White, her son, Billy White
Jr; as well as her siblings, Viva Porter, Dorothy Gillis, Donalda
Burbine, Hilda Weatherbee, John « Bubsy » Reynolds, Doug
Reynolds, Frankie Reynolds, and Wesley Reynolds.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of A.H.
Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, NS
(902-597-2361). Cremation has taken place. A
graveside service for Joan will take place at the Hillside Cemetery,
Springhill, NS on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11 am.
Donations in memory of Joan may be made
to a charity of the donor’s choice.
