Obituary of Jeffrey Noel Asprey
Asprey, Jeffrey Noel “Gump”, 54, Beaver Dam, died Monday, November 8, 2021 in Aberdeen Regional Hospital, New Glasgow. Born October 19, 1967 in Halifax, he was a son of Ronald Asprey and the late Roxie (Howe) Asprey. Gump was employed with Wood Motors Ford after school detailing cars and trucks, then at the Sheet Harbour Wharf with Dexter Construction. Gump patented a rescue ladder for Marine vessels. He was owner of his own Cannabis shop in Cole Harbour, and he started fishing for himself, his children, nephews and cousins for their Aboriginal rights. In his spare time, he loved to hunt moose and deer, as well as spend time with family and friends. He really loved his family and grandchildren unconditionally.
Survived by his wife of 33 years together, Jennifer, children Barry Daniel, Jesse (Roxanne), Justine (Aaron), Joel; grandchildren Arinna, Chase, Gunner, Wyatt, Onyxx, Hunter, Jackson; brothers Ronnie (Susan), Tony (Shelley); sisters Shelly (Gary) and Lori (Robert).
Visitation Friday, November 12, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, Service at 7:30 pm, at D.S. Crowell & Son Funeral Home, 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour. Proof of vaccination, photo ID and masks are required.
