“Black Turtle Man”
Peacefully on Saturday, July 24, 2021, Jeff “Gus” Pelletier passed into the spirit world at his home at the age of 53 years.
Left to cherish Gus’ memory are his siblings: Elvis (Beverly), Kim (Eugene), Joyce (Keith), Rick (Shelley) and Bev (Yves), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Frank (2010), mother Marj (2018), sisters Jackie (1992), Bernadette (2009) and baby brother Jeffrey (1963).
Gus was born in Winnipeg in 1967. In his younger years he was an avid athlete, playing hockey and baseball. As he grew older in his spare time he loved to fish. Gus enjoyed spending time with family, especially all his nieces and nephews. He spent a lot of time with his beloved dog Murphy. He loved watching TV with his mom, especially crime stories, football (Green Bay Packers and hockey (Pittsburg Penguins). Gus was a generous person who helped others whenever needed. He will be truly missed by all those who got to know him over the years.
The family would like to thank Long Plain First Nation – chief and council, staff at SICU and PICU at HSC and Percy Moore Hospital and special thanks to Del, Maggie and Lisa Assiniboine.
