Obituary
Jeanne passed away peacefully at her residence in Hanover on Sunday February 21, 2021. Jeanne Marie Seyler (nee Wildfang) of Southampton and formerly of Sarnia was 92.
Beloved wife to the late Lewis ‘Lou’ Seyler for 70 years. Proud mother of Scott Seyler and his wife Margaret, Debra Seyler, and Cindy and her husband Ray Russwurm. Loving grandmother to Ben, Lauren, and Eric, and Ashley (Alex), Breanne (Nick), and Jaime (Gavin), and great grandmother of six. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Roy and Alma Wildfang and by her siblings Marjorie and Jerry.
Jeanne grew up in Waterloo. Following graduation, she met Lou while working at Equitable Life and they married shortly afterwards. Together they raised three children while living in Guelph, Edmonton, Sarnia and Markham before retiring to Southampton and Port Elgin. Jeanne was an active member in her church and the local hospital auxiliaries. She loved cards, tennis, bowling, family get togethers and being with her husband.
Jeanne was a generous and beautiful woman and her love will be dearly missed by her children and friends. Just three weeks following the death of her husband, Jeanne and Lou are together again.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Jeanne Seyler will be held at a later date when gatherings are permitted. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or to Meals on Wheels of Grey Bruce.
