Jean Doreen Stewart (Smith)
July 02, 1933 – November 20, 2021
It is with much sorrow that the family of Jean Stewart announce her passing on November 20, 2021, at the Drayton Valley Hospital.
Left to cherish and celebrate Jean’s life are her children, Darlene (Roger) Vowk, Don (Susan) Stewart, Colleen (Ralph) Johnson, Allen (Lorraine) Stewart, Kathy Stout and Christine (Ron) Parks; her 17 grandchildren, Donita, Dallas, Candice, Amanda, Barkley, Merrilee, Jason, Brock, Rianne, Lindsey, Tara, Marlee, Tyrell, Leaetta, Jennifer, Kendra and Logan, along with 28 great grandchildren. Jean is also lovingly remembered by her brothers, Stanley, Jack and Gordon.
Jean was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Kenneth; her parents, Agnes and Orville Smith; her sisters Lois and Ellen and her brother Orville. Jean was also predeceased by her infant son, Douglas.
A celebration of Jean’s life will take place on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Whitby Hall, at 1:00 pm. In keeping with the Alberta Government protocols to host a funeral service larger than 50 attendees, the REP program will be in effect. This requires that those attending must show proof of double vaccination or proof of a negative result from a rapid test administered within 72 hours prior to this service.
