Obituary of Jean Anne Verity
VERITY, Jean – Jean died at Afton Park Place on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the age of 75. She was born in Toronto and moved to Sarnia at a young age. After her 1st year of high school at Northern, she attended Alma College and attained her certificate as a registered nurses assistant. Her working years were spent at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto in the NICU unit. Jean loved to spend time travelling to many parts of the world with her aunt. She loved her home in Tobermory where she spent two years and many summers. She had a good sense of humour and was always game to try new and fun stuff. When her physical health deteriorated, Jean returned to Sarnia where she battled cancer for a number of years. She is predeceased by her parents Leonard & Willa (Garroch) Verity. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N. on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 1 p.m. with interment at Lakeview Cemetery.
