Jean Vianney Côté
The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the age of 89 years. Son of the late Wilbrod and the late Agnès (née Lafond) Côté. Beloved husband of the late Yvette (née Falardeau) Côté. Loving father of Denis (Sue), Michel, (Tracey) and Diane Gascon (Marc). Predeceased by his son Marcel and daughter Francine (Gerry). Predeceased by his siblings Yolande Rocheleau (late Emilien), Rita Bérubé (late Sylvio), Cécile (Theodore) and Herman (late Monique). Cherished grandfather of Andrew (Lisa), Raymond, Jason, Tanya, Maxine (Josh) Charlene, Lise (Tony) and Daniel (Kelly). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Vianney Started his career in the electrical field at a young age and pursued this until retirement. He initially worked in the mines for a few years before moving to construction. Vianney was quite proud of his gardens, he grew vegetables, potatoes, strawberries, raspberries and supplied his kids. He shared his harvest with neighbours and friends also. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St-Jacques Church, Hanmer. Wearing of masks and social distancing are required.
