James Lloyd Hubley
81, of French Village passed away on December 7th at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor.
Born and raised in French Village he was the son of the late James and Minnie Hubley. Jimmy worked at the Grace Maternity for a number of years before working for Hobart for 20+ years until retirement. He spent most of his time at home with his family, enjoying the home he grew up in, raised his family and watched his grandchildren grow up. He loved adventure. He spent many days and weekends travelling around exploring new roads and of course revisiting some very familiar ones. Everywhere he went he met someone new. It was nothing for him to knock on someone’s door and introduce himself. He was a free spirit, well known and loved by many. When he wasn’t travelling across the countryside, he was enjoying a little piece of heaven back in the woods. His home away from home!
James is survived by his loving wife Betty of 53 years; sons, Doug (Tammy); Wesley (Melanie); grandchildren, Jayme, Josee, Aiden and Hailey; as well, a number of brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to the staff of the QE11 Emergency and Hants Community Hospital for their care and support. Jimmy’s smile and laughter will live on in the hearts of all those that knew and loved him.
Cremation has taken place, at Jim’s wishes a private family gathering will take place at a later date.
Donations can be made in Jimmy’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
