Obituary
With saddened hearts we announce the passing of James George Anderson with family by his side on March 17, 2021 at the age of 78. Jim was born on July 24, 1942 in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. He married Colleen, the love of his life and best friend on July 15,1967.
Jim spent most of his working years at CN Rail until his back injury in 1989. In his leisure time he spent many hours out in his garage puttering around and listening to his tunes. There were many family camping trips throughout the years where he was able to enjoy his love of the outdoors and spending time with his family. His love and soft spot he had for animals was a true extension of his kind nature and heart. He spent many hours with the family pets Thomas, Axle, and Chevelle by his side.
Jim will be dearly missed and always remembered by his loving wife Colleen, daughter Tara Anderson (Martin Alarie), grandsons Mason and Evan; son Ron Anderson; sisters Edna (Larry) Potter, Jean (Dean) Bryan, sister in-law Judy (Neil) Halberg; brother in-law John (Myrna) Jones and numerous nieces and nephews and close friends.
Jim was predeceased by his oldest son, James Darren Anderson; parents James and Alice Anderson; sisters Alice (Arnold) Asquin, Dorothy (Don) Metz, Bonita (Art) Hamilton; father and mother in-law Buck and Anna Jones.
In respecting Jim’s wishes there will be no funeral service. Jim will join his oldest son in the Blackfalds Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, our family would appreciate his friends and family extending random acts of kindness to honor the man Jim was. Even though he suffered great physical pain, he always displayed his light of positivity and would do anything he could to help others.
Thank you to Dr. B. Geates and staff at Mainstreet Medical Clinic Services and to Lacombe Homecare Services for their support and compassion.
